The iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 release date has been widely speculated, placing the tablet launch in the last three months of the year. However, a recent Bloomberg article revealed the tablets could be unveiled at a September 10 event, coinciding with the iPhone 5S release date. Will Apple consumers see the new iPads next month? Reports following the Bloomberg statement indicate it is highly unlikely.

Bloomberg concisely mentions Apple's September 10 media event in an article about a future Tokyo retail store. Reports subsequently cited September 10 as the iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 release date due to a statement in the Bloomberg article regarding the new iPhone and iPad models, according to MacRumors:
"The Cupertino, California-based company plans to introduce new versions of its phone and tablet at a Sept. 10 event, a person familiar with the matter has said, and the company promised "several more game changers" in the product pipeline as it tries to fend off Samsung Electronics Co. and Chinese makers selling cheaper handsets."
In response to the aforementioned Bloomberg statement, Jim Dalrymple of The Loop negated the claims that Apple's new iPads would launch alongside the iPhone 5S. The blog entry posted Wednesday simply stated, "Nope. No iPads."?Jim Dalrymple has been following Apple and its product launches for nearly two decades.
Another clue that the iPad release date won't launch September 10 is that Bloomberg updated the statement following its initial announcement. MacRumors notes that the article removed the comment about the new tablets at the September media event, leaving only mention of the new iPhone.
If the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 release date isn't coinciding with the unveiling of the iPhone 5S, and possibly colorful budget iPhone 5C option, then when can Apple tablet consumers expect the latest gadgets? Numerous reports place the new iPad launch in October, ahead of the holiday season. Though the Bloomberg article briefly contradicted this, it seems the update as well as reactions surfacing online place the iPad release date back in the October realm.
Photo leaks online of the iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 show expected images of the upcoming tablets. The iPad 5 is most buzzed about for taking cues from the iPad Mini, showcasing a slimmer, sleeker body and thinner bezels. The rumored Retina iPad Mini is another highly talked about spec for the latest tablet upgrade. A higher-resolution iPad Mini 2 would pose as serious competition to the impressive displays launching from rival electronic companies. The Retina iPad Mini release date, however, is rumored to launch in 2014, following the standard iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 release dates.?
The new iPad tablets are expected to come this fall, though probably following the release of the iPhone 5S. Rumors online state that Apple would be holding a separate event to introduce the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.?
